Giving: An Act of Worship

Giving is an act of worship.  Faith requires action and in giving tithes and offerings to Beech Church, we honor and glorify God.  We are to give willingly, generously and cheerfully in response to all that God has given us.  When we give, we give back a portion of what God has so graciously given us.

2 Corinthians 8:7

But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you—see that you also excel in this grace of giving.

How to Give

Why Give?

Why should we give to the Church? Because the Bible tells us to.  2 Corinthians 9:6-8 says Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.  Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.  And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”  The Church uses the monies given to support the ministries and missions of our Church.  Your financial support provides for spiritual leadership, pastoral care and basic provisions and needs for the Church and our community.

Make a Difference

Your gifts allow Beech Church to support our missions and ministries.  From service projects to assist the community to projects that assist our own members, your tithes and offerings make these things happen.

Our mission is to live for Christ in the world around us, to share the good news and to serve those in need.  We accomplish this through missions like Vacation Bible School and service projects we participate in throughout our community.

Being a Christian is more than just an instantaneous conversion – it is a daily process whereby you grow to be more and more like Christ.

Billy Graham

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.

C. S. Lewis
