The Beech Church Family
Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church prides itself on being a Church Family. We worship together, spread the good news of Christ together and serve in His Name together. We look after each other in times of sorrow, times of poor health and in times of need. We celebrate with each other in times of joy. We welcome the community through our doors. Since 1798, this has been Beech Church.
There are many ways to get involved in our church community. We hope you will explore all options and jump right in.
Christian Life Center – CLC
The Beech Church Christian Life Center or more commonly referred to as the CLC provides programs for our members and for the community. Through programs that promote wellness both physically and mentally, this ministry of Beech Church provides much for our community and our church.
CPWM – Cumberland Presbyterian Women’s Ministry
The CPWM welcomes all women of the church. The organization provides avenues of service for Beech Church as well as for the community at large. The CPWM hosts events as fund-raising opportunities to support local charities, missions of the church and for Beech Church.
Giving
The tithes and offerings of Beech Church are used to support the Church and its missions.
Acts 20:35 “I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to than to receive.'”
The Kirk Kaller
The Kirk Kaller is our weekly church newsletter. It gets its name from the Scottish origins of the Presbyterian church. The work Kirk is a Scottish term referring to a church. The goal of our newsletter is to keep everyone up to date on all that is happening at Beech Church.
Men of Beech
You have heard it said that the best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach? Well, we do not know if that is the case, but we do recognize that everyone has to eat. We just figure that it is a good idea for men to enjoy a time of fellowship while eating.
Missions
Beech Church views Missions as an integral part of our church. We feel that God calls and equips each person to be an agent for His mission to bring people into His kingdom. Through word and action, we strive to take the word of the gospel to neighborhoods, communities and churches in our area. Our efforts not only provide assistance for those in need but also teach our youth the valuable lesson of serving others.
Mother’s Day Out
Beech Church offers a Mother’s Day Out (MDO) program for children ages one to four years old. The mission is for our children to have a good time while learning about God, self, family, friends and the natural world.
Quilters
Beech Church Quilters meet every Wednesday at noon in our Fellowship Hall. The group makes many different quilt projects while enjoying time together in fellowship.
Upward Sports
Beech Church offers the Upward Sports program each winter for children ages 5K through 8th grade. Children discover the love of Christ through a sports program that teaches not only sports skills, but life skills as well.
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is offered typically each June at Beech Church. Children come together from Sunday to Thursday evenings for one week to hear how God loves them. Much fun is had by all who attend – volunteers and children alike!
Being a Christian is more than just an instantaneous conversion – it is a daily process whereby you grow to be more and more like Christ.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.
